Plan
The entry wall and gate at the Hazel River Cabin, located on Hawlin Road about a mile and a half from the cabin and an adjacent barn, progresses from natural form to man made intervention. A stone caim, with the Blue Ridge mountains as the backdrop, marks the start of the journey. Local boulders and stones are crafted into a wall that weaves through the flat bottom land adjacent to the Hazel River Cabin. A precise battered wall of reclaimed chimney stone stops the wave at an entry gate of the estate.
