Kennedy on L is a new multi-family residential condominium in the Capital Riverfront neighborhood. The building comprises 74 units on 11 stories with 3 levels of underground parking. The 60’-wide sliver building creates a street-front composition emphasizing its verticality. A signature vertical tower frames the glazed corner volume sheathed in iridescent aluminum panels, whose color subtly modulates with the ever-changing light over the course of the day. The building takes advantage of three exposures to provide an abundance of natural light, with over half of the units enjoying private outdoor balconies or terraces, despite the building’s narrow profile and mid-block location. This not only yields light-filled residences with floor-to-ceiling windows in most units, but also provides stunning views of the Anacostia River and the Washington Monument. The design features amenities such as a private resident club room and dining suite with full kitchen, an intimate Peloton studio with views overlooking the city, and an expansive roof-top terrace providing grills for summer dining and fire pits for cozy gatherings on cooler spring and fall evenings.
