Twin 1909 apartment buildings designed in the Classical Revival style are fully renovated, accurately restored and partially reconfigured for modern living. To preserve the historic architecture, the conversion of the structures into condominiums led to reconstructing front porticoes and entries, and replacing porches, windows and doors to respect original designs. Inside, 46 apartments are modernized with open plans, new kitchens, bathrooms, floors, lighting and HVAC systems. The units offer high ceilings, large windows and decorative moldings. The outdoor courtyard is re-graded and landscaped to provide exterior access for lower-level units. Common areas are upgraded with tiled entryways, wood-paneled sitting areas and backlit glass elements to give each building a unique contemporary identity.
