Plan
This unique four-story plus penthouse residential design includes 20 unique units with varied exposures and outdoor spaces, below grade parking for 10 cars, and a unifying interior courtyard providing quiet relief from the urban vitality of the surrounding Columbia Heights neighborhood. The project is designed in accordance with the recently enacted Green Area Ratio in the District of Columbia. The building steps back at the upper levels to allow for green space on the stepped roofs below and main roof above. The triangular shaped lot, with no alley access, challenged the design team to look for innovative ways to rectify both vehicle and pedestrian access directly off 15th Street.
