A Transit-Oriented Transformation, Targeted LEED Silver Certification

Bonstra | Haresign ARCHITECTS is pleased to announce that 11141 Georgia Avenue continues into its final stages of construction. The project adapts and extends a 1960s 5-story office building situated adjacent to the Wheaton Metrorail station, into a new 12-story, 194-unit apartment building.

The National Building Museum is hosting a Construction Watch Tour at the site on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. David Haresign, FAIA, Rob McClennan, AIA, John Edwards, Assoc. AIA, LEED AP and Victoria Kulbick with Bonstra | Haresign ARCHITECTS, will lead a tour of this project. The tour is only open to Museum members for $35. General membership registration is now open and will be assigned based on space availability.

Congratulations to our client Lowe Enterprises, our talented team of architects, innovative consultants and attorneys, and our general contractor, Whiting-Turner, for a smooth and timely design, entitlement, bidding and construction process.
