AIA | DC Fall Design Fête 2021

The 2021 AIA|DC Washington Architectural Foundation Fall Design Fête took place at Washington’s National Cathedral on Friday, November 12, 2021. The event celebrated the contributions of worthy Washingtonians who have made the area a better place through their contributions as designers, advocates and clients. Partner David T. Haresign, FAIA received the 2021 Centennial Medalthe chapter’s highest honor, for distinguished service to the Chapter, community, and profession. 

Along with celebrating the contributions of these individuals, the Fall Design Fête supports the Washington Architectural Foundation’s education and community outreach programs so that the Foundation can better meet its mission to share the power of architecture to transform community.



In the attached video that was presented at the Fête, David discusses the power and impact of architecture on our daily lives, noting architects’ responsibility to design and execute memorable and sustainable projects for our future.

David thanks partner Bill Bonstra, FAIA, LEED AP and the B|HA team for contributing to the civic and professional liveliness of our community, and his colleagues and family for their patience, support, and inspiration.
